MITCH

Mitigation of Climate Induced Natural Hazards

MITCH was funded as a Concerted Action (CA) under the Fifth Framework Programme of the European Union. The aim of a CA is to disseminate information concerning Fourth Framework research projects to end-users. In the case of MITCH this is end-users concerned with a wide range of aspects of climate-induced natural hazards.

The MITCH programme consists of three workshops:
1. Floods, Droughts  and Landslides - Management in a Changing Climate (Delft, December 2001)
2. Advances in Flood Forecasting, flood Warning and Emergency Management (Barcelona, June 2002)
3. Floods, Droughts and Landslides - ? (Wallingford?, November 2002?)
